When do we get our hands on it please :)   . A select few hubs will help iron out any bugs  surely ??

The hubsoft itself is good enough to test, and it's already being tested by a few at the moment. In FlexHub the hub and GUI are completely separate, that's why the GUI can control the hub remotely too.

But for broader tests the GUI needs to be closer to finished than it is now, too many hubsettings have to be set by changing the ini-files manually now. As soon as the GUI is almost ready for beta, we'll need some more testing to iron out last-minute bugs.

I know it's been a long wait: I hardly had time to do anything on it the past 6 months or so, but recently making some good progress on the GUI again. I promise i'll leave some bugs in for beta release, and hope it won't be too long anymore now.

that is for the Zebedee release lol

but you should remember *never fall into the Microshaft way of things make it work 40% well and let the other 60% of issues that they never tested or thought yeah most of it works release it then people encounter all the issues that don't work and think what a piece of *Coughs* it is!! and moan and report as bugs. Better to get @ least 95% fully tested and working through diff controlled scenarios and have 1 or 2 bugs that we may of missed and happier faces.  ;D

TBh the best way to bughunt is the normal users way for things missed.... ( after general internal testing )  as not every scenario is always seen from shall we say fresh eyes and yes complacency can be found sometimes... you should try to see if you can find anything in the current test hub from that point of view. The Gui does as FlipFlop said need to be developed further and when appropiate be further tested with his team of testers going forward and then further testing may be required from a small group of live testers before general release...  ;)

I offered the help FlipFlop, for testing hubsoft, But was refused...  :'(
It is a pity. If it is required, write in ICQ or E-Mail. So I always in online on your hub, it is possible to write to personal messages ;)

To clarify: noone is refused to join in testing, but they will have to wait some more until the Gui is almost finished.

As I said: right now most hubsettings have to be changed in ini-files. And making a small mistake in such a file can lead to apparent 'bugs' in the hubsoft. As soon as the Gui can make the most important changes in hubsoft, I'll happily allow more testers to do their thing!

ive been watching the test hub and reading the forum and pestering morrowind in some hubs to see how progression is going lol but they sly and tell me to wait , so is there any update flipflop on flexhubs progression and also is it any nearer to being released as a beta for external testing via others than the select few lol or maybe letting few others sample the goods for bug reporting or even advising etc ?

In this thread I posted about Flexhub test hub for operators and hubadmins where people could come, get an acount and test commands/hubsettings/antiflood etc and meet hubsoft from "the inside" (it has been deleted now, since hub is offline). Hub was open for 2 weeks, just after this thread was started. So please check forum more often if you interested. If anything will happen again, it will be posted on forum again. And about more testers, I think that your question has been aswered already above in Flip's posts :)

Code: [Select]
As soon as the Gui can make the most important changes in hubsoft, I'll happily allow more testers to do their thing!
Best regards,
LS

Currently making some good progress on the GUI, so yes, getting closer to the beta release.

If I would allow more testers in this stage, I'd be spending more time on support/discussion than on coding and getting closer to that release. So let me do my thing for now, and I'll let you know when there are more testers needed or release is real close.

lol morrow we luvs ya really lol :P

thankyou LS for stating what i had read but after the hub had gone offline (which i had registered and played with), i was just asking if any progression had happened and again thanx ;)

flipflop i know you are busy as hell with sorting soft out but was just asking what others wanted to hear,
this looks like it will become a very good software which we ALL cant wait to see ,so i hope to see a beta release coming soon
so myself and others can use and offer bugs and any requests etc

keep up the good work :)
